Smarter Business

As a professional photographer, you are an artist, a storyteller, and a business guru. OK, so maybe- you aren't a business guru yet. Fortunately, Collages.net's mission is to give you the tools you need to run your business profitably, so you work smarter, not harder.

Old Way vs. New Way
  1. Studio contacts clients to schedule appointment to review images. Three voicemails, four phone conversations, and five e-mails later, the appointment is scheduled.
Studio posts images online and e-mails clients to let them know their images are ready to view and share. Studio looks at site visit stats and sees 72 unique visitors within the first three hours.
  2. Aunt Sally asks mother of bride to have bride order her some images.
Aunt Sally securely orders her own images online using Collages.net's full e-commerce platform.
  3. Studio spends time processing credit cards every other day and has to deal with the hassle of any issue that arises.
Collages.net handles all the e-commerce and customer service for online print orders. Studio is paid out through direct deposit every Friday.
  4. Studio adds Aunt Sally's order to the never-ending to-do list.
collagesColor prints and ships Aunt Sally's order within 24 hours. Aunt Sally receives her prints and couldn't be happier. She shares this happiness by leaving a comment on the studio's blog.
  5. A studio employee orders the wrong images for Aunt Sally, so the order has to be resubmitted. Expedited shipping, cost of reprints, and use of time eat into studio's profit margin.
Collages.net's Automatic Fulfillment Workflow allows studios to upload high resolution images. Event guests order directly from the site and this age old problem is eliminated!
  6. Studio asks couple to select images for their wedding album using printed proofs and a paper order form. This process takes seven months and finally wraps up right at holiday crunch time.
Couple visits their website and creates a favorites folder where they simply put a check box next to their favorite images. The studio takes these images and either has Collages.net's design team create the album design or uses Colllages.net's free album design software to create the design in-house.
  7. Couple schedules and cancels album meeting with studio three times. When the studio and couple finally find a good time to meet, the process takes over four hours.
Album spreads are posted online by the studio or by Collages.net's design team. The couple posts their feedback on digital post-it notes located on each spread.
  8. Bride and mother of the bride take turns making a weekly phone call to check the status of the album. Album is finally delivered in 4-8 weeks.
The studio has Collages.net ship the album directly to the client at no extra cost and it is delivered in two weeks or less. The bride is so ecstatic about her album that she not only makes her Facebook status about how much her photographer rocks, but also writes on the studio's Facebook fan page about her great experience.
“We shopped around for a complete workflow solution to match our consistently growing client base, but were never completely satisfied with the level of service and commitment to quality that we felt was representative of our studio. Collages.net impressed us from the beginning, and now we use them for everything. I can say without hesitation that Collages.net has significantly enhanced the way we do business, and enabled us to focus on the things that help us grow.”

“While we were spending time with our clients, 5 print orders were fulfilled, 3 weddings were backed-up, 2 albums were printed, prospective customers were reviewing our weddings, and money from reprint orders was deposited into our bank account. Selling photos online with Collages.net is so simple. We didn't have to do a thing.”
